You will collaborate with cross-functional teams while applying engineering principles to develop innovative, high-quality medical device solutions.\nWork Flexibility:\nHybrid: candidates must reside within commuting distance of Portage, MI and be able to work onsite several days per week.\nWhat You Will Do\nDesign, develop, modify, and verify mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems for medical devices.\nTranslate user and clinical requirements into engineering specifications and system-level designs.\nConduct prototyping, testing, and design verification activities to evaluate product performance and compliance.\nAnalyze and resolve complex design challenges using engineering principles, data, and root-cause analysis methods.\nAuthor and maintain engineering documentation, including design records, specifications, test protocols, and reports.\nPartner with Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory Affairs, Clinical, Marketing, and Project Management teams to support product development milestones and launch readiness.\nParticipate in customer and clinician interactions to gather product feedback and incorporate user needs into design decisions.\nSupport continuous improvement activities by enhancing engineering processes, design methodologies, and development practices.\nWhat You Will Need\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.\nMinimum 2 years of engineering experience in product design, development, or related technical roles.\nExperience with 3D CAD modeling software.\nExperience creating engineering drawings and technical documentation.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with Creo CAD software.\nExperience designing mechanical or electromechanical assemblies.\nExperience applying Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles in product development.\nExperience using Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), engineering analysis tools, and manufacturing processes in product design.\n$77,700 - $129,500 USD Annual\nTravel Percentage: NoneStryker Corporation is an equal opportunity employer.
