This internship provides an opportunity to gain practical experience in VAT compliance within an international business environment and develop an understanding of how indirect taxes operate across different countries and business processes.\nWorking alongside experienced members of the VAT team, the intern will support VAT and statistical compliance activities, data analysis, reconciliations and process improvement initiatives. The role will also provide exposure to multiple ERP systems and tax technology and involve collaboration with Finance, Supply Chain, Procurement and other internal stakeholders.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist the VAT team with the preparation and supporting documentation for VAT returns and other indirect tax filings. \nSupport the collection, validation and organization of data required for VAT compliance activities. \nAssist with VAT account reconciliations and investigation of differences under the guidance of experienced team members. \nHelp maintain clear and complete supporting documentation for compliance and audit purposes. \nGain practical exposure to ERP systems and understand how transactional data flows into VAT reporting. \nSupport data-quality checks and help investigate differences or unusual transactions. \nSupport initiatives aimed at simplifying and standardizing VAT compliance processes. \nHelp document existing processes and maintain procedures and working instructions. \nIdentify opportunities to improve recurring activities, data quality and ways of working. \nLearning & Development Opportunities\nGain exposure to cross-functional teams, including Tax, Accounting, Accounts Payable/Receivable and Indirect Tax Technology, in a highly international environment. \nDevelop professional writing and communication skills in English. \nBuild time-management and organizational skills in a corporate environment. \nLearn to identify and analyze tax risks. \nGain experience with tax technologies and tools used in indirect tax reporting. \nUnderstand international trade flows and their impact on indirect tax. \nRequirements\nEnrolled at a European university in a bachelor's degree, or master’s degree program in Business, Finance, Accounting or Tax. \nStrong interest in tax and eagerness to learn. \nStrong written and spoken English communication skills. \nProficiency in Microsoft Excel\nEnthusiasm for technology and AI, and a curiosity about making processes smarter. \nDetail-oriented and proactive, with the ability to work well in a team\nNOTE: EU working rights are required.\nPreferred\nAdditional European language
