from anywhere in Bulgaria.\n\nJOB DESCRIPTION\n\nResponsibilities:\n\nDevelop and maintain Python-based software and automation solutions used in the configuration, setup and verification of advanced electron microscopy systems;\n\nImplement new functionality and improve existing automation workflows based on technical and functional requirements;\n\nDevelop and maintain automated tests to ensure software quality, reliability and correct system behavior;\n\nInvestigate, troubleshoot and resolve software defects and automation failures;\n\nWrite clean, maintainable and well-structured Python code following object-oriented programming principles and established coding standards;\n\nParticipate in code reviews and contribute to improving the overall quality of the codebase;\n\nWork with Git and follow established software configuration management and development processes;\n\nCollaborate closely with other software developers, QA engineers and domain experts within an international engineering environment;\n\nParticipate in Agile/Scrum activities, including refinement, planning, daily meetings and retrospectives;\n\nGradually develop an understanding of the complex systems and domain in which the automation software operates;\n\nMaintain relevant technical documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.\n\nRequirements\n\nExperience:\n\n3+ years of experience in programming in Python;\n\nExperience in writing automated tests in Python;\n\nStrong OOP knowledge;\n\nUnderstanding of the common software development processes;\n\nGood understanding of software configuration management and experience with Git.\n\nNice to have, depending on the team:\n\nPython Science – SciPy, NumPy, Pandas, MatplotLib;\n\nTesting – PyTest;\n\nStatic Checks – Ruff, MyPy;\n\nUI – PySide;\n\nPersonal skills:\n\nTeam player;\n\nRobust personality;\n\nAbility to work independently in a dynamic environment;\n\nStrong analytic view combined with pragmatic attitude (flexibility);\n\nOpen communication attitude: active listening and giving feedback;\n\nExcellent knowledge of English (both written and verbal) is a must;\n\nWork experience in a
