Knowledge of environmentally sensitive building systems and products is desirable though not required. Intern Designers work directly with architects and interior designers to participate in the design and documentation process for a wide-array of project types, sizes, and complexities.\nCandidates will have:\nTo be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Architectural or Interior design\nThe ability to commit to full-time hours (8:30AM - 5:30PM, Monday - Friday) for 3 months (start/stop dates negotiable according to academic calendar)\nA portfolio with projects demonstrating intelligent, innovative design solutions and strong presentation graphics\nExperience producing material boards\nKnowledge of REVIT\nBasic understanding of FF&E is encouraged\nInterest in variety of project types including commercial office, mixed-use, civic, retail, academic, and/or cultural projects\nAbility to work independently as well as collaborate with a team on larger-scale projects\nResponsibilities may include:\nProduce graphic material and renderings for design presentations\nAssist with material/finish selection; create material boards\nCompile furniture presentations and specifications\nMeet with vendors and consultants\nCreate finish plans and elevations\nAssist with composing construction documents\nParticipate in site visits, including field surveys\nProvide support for assigned projects\nCorrect and update drawings\nQualities desired to excel in this role include an ability to be facile at problem-solving, and strong presentation and communication skills.
