You will collaborate with colleagues across the Centre to ensure programmes align with our teaching, learning, and assessment strategy, and support an outstanding student experience.\nAdditionally, you will provide academic support to students and play an active role in developing and implementing innovative teaching practices.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nStudent learning experience\nContribute to the design, delivery and development of modules offered by the Kingston University London International Study Centre.\nPrepare and deliver teaching lessons, Including, seminars and tutorial sessions.\nWrite and prepare unit examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment.\nMark students’ formative and summative assessment submissions and provide timely feedback to students on their performance, including tutorials and writing regular student reports.\nDevelop and update course material for modules and teaching sessions, including module material for the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE).\nWork with the Centre’s administration team in the delivery of induction, orientation and registration programmes.\nNotify and liaise with colleagues, where necessary, to ensure all students receive appropriate on-going welfare and progression support.\nTrack students’ academic journey and identify and implement appropriate intervention strategies to support on-going learning.\nAct as a Personal Tutor for one or more groups of students.\nQuality and standards assurance and enhancementImplement quality assurance procedures at module and teaching session level and contribute to the annual monitoring and review of courses.\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of students’ attendance, engagement, and performance.\nAttend and contribute to standardisation, moderation, and other quality assurance meetings.\nAcademic management and personal developmentParticipate in regular meetings with teaching and support staff contributing to the effective overall management of the programme and student life cycle.\nParticipate in the Centre and University governance structure, including attending all compulsory meetings.\nMaintain and submit accurate and timely records of teaching and other activities.\nParticipate in regular training and development activities and maintain a log of these activities.\n ABOUT YOUA Bachelor's degree (Essential) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related discipline.\nA Master’s in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity or a closely related discipline (Desirable).\nRelevant Teaching Qualification or significant experience working with students.\nExperience and capability of writing comprehensive modules at level 3.\nExperience teaching computer science modules in the UK Higher or Further education sector, or relevant industry experience that translates well to the classroom.\nExperience with Object-Oriented programming (MATLAB, Python)\nExperience in Web designing (JavaScript) is preferable\nExperience of teaching in the UK Higher or Further education sector and preferably qualification and experience of working with international students.\nABOUT USStudy Group is a leading international education provider that is dedicated and passionate about helping students around the world, creating a brighter future and reaching their full potential.
