You will also contribute directly to student support and to the development and implementation of innovative teaching practices across the Centre. As a tutor, you will contribute to the design, development and production of teaching and learning materials and delivery across a range of modules or within a subject area.\nABOUT THE ROLE\nAcademic management\nProvide academic coordination for designated module(s) in the role of module coordinator\nParticipate in regular meetings with teaching and support staff contributing to the effective overall management of the programmes and the student life cycle.\n Student learning experienceContribute to the design, delivery and development of modules offered by the centre.\nContribute to the delivery and assessment of provision.\nPrepare module examinations and other forms of formative and summative assessment, mark and provide feedback to students.\nUpdate and maintain the Virtual Learning Environment (VLE)\nWork with the Student Experience Team and Registry and Operations Team in the delivery of induction, orientation and registration programmes.\nLiaise with the Progression, Welfare and Support team to support students in achieving their progression aim. \nEngage in scholarly activity to ensure the delivery of modules is current\n Quality and standards assurance and enhancementImplement quality assurance procedures at module level and contribute to the annual monitoring and review of the programme to achieve high standards\nFully use centre systems to log and monitor student attendance\nMaintain accurate and up-to-date records of student engagement\nComplete sponsor reports and academic reports for students.\nTake up opportunities such as (for example) VLE development; Peer Observation activities.\nUndertake teaching, learning and assessment observations and associated staff development plans to assure standards within the subject area.\nAny other duties as required from time to time by the Head of Law and Social Science and Centre Director\nABOUT YOU\nA Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject area.\nA Masters qualification is desirable\nCandidates holding a PhD will be particularly welcomed\nExperience of teaching in UK higher or further education and preferably a teaching qualification and experience of working with international students\nABOUT USStudy Group is a leading international education provider that is dedicated and passionate about helping students around the world, creating a brighter future and reaching their full potential.
