This role takes ownership of some of our most critical finance processes, including group financial reporting, statutory reporting, audit coordination, annual accounts and external compliance.\nYou will work closely with the Head of Finance and act as the primary coordinator between Studyportals and our external auditors and accounting firms worldwide.\nYour Role\nAs Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for coordinating the group's external reporting and audit activities across multiple jurisdictions.\nYou will own the annual audit process, manage relationships with external auditors and advisors, prepare consolidated financial information and ensure financial reporting obligations are met accurately and on time.\nThis role requires a combination of strong accounting knowledge, project management skills and stakeholder management capabilities.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare group consolidations and monthly management reporting, including coordinating management commentary. \nCoordinate interim/year-end audits and international statutory reporting, acting as the main point of contact for external auditors and accountants and managing requests, documentation and deliverables. \nPrepare the annual financial statements and SBR filings, including supporting schedules and audit documentation. \nPerform month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, capitalization, revenue recognition and intercompany accounting. \nPrepare cash flow forecasting, financial modelling and financial analysis, providing insights into financial performance and variances. \nMaintain accurate financial documentation and controls, ensuring key accounting positions, reconciliations and audit evidence are properly supported. \nWhy Join Studyportals?\nTake ownership of key finance processes in an international environment. \nWork closely with senior management and external auditors and advisors across multiple countries. \nGain broad exposure across financial reporting, audit and financial control. \nJoin a collaborative, purpose-driven company helping students worldwide make informed education choices. \nRequirements\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Economics or a related field. \n5+ years of relevant experience in financial control, accounting, financial reporting or audit. \nStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements, including Dutch GAAP and/or IFRS. \nHands-on experience with month-end closing, reconciliations, group consolidations and annual financial statements. \nExperience coordinating or supporting external audits, with a good understanding of audit requirements and documentation. \nStrong analytical and Excel skills, with the ability to identify variances, trends and financial insights. \nStrong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently, take ownership and manage multiple deadlines. \nBenefits\nCompetitive salary including a bonus and pension. \n32 vacation days (including bank holidays) you have the flexibility to take your holidays whenever you want (e.g. be off on Chinese New Year instead of King’s Day) \nPossibility to buy/sell 5 vacation days out of your annual balance \nAn annual personal development budget because personal growth is KEY! \nFlexibility to work remotely, including a remote working allowance. \nReimbursement of your work-related travel costs if you live further from the office. \nPossibility to work from abroad 2 times a year. \nA nice and fun office in the heart of Eindhoven; five minutes’ walk away from the station.
