Learn more at stuut.ai.\nThe role:\nYou'll own the platform engineering ships on. Most of the work is taking infrastructure that grew organically\nand making it reproducible, secure, observable and cheap to run. It's a small team with wide scope, real\nautonomy and broad access, so judgment matters as much as skill. This is a hands-on role with no direct\nreports.\nWhat you'll do:\n- Put all infrastructure under version-controlled, reviewed code, including resources that were built by\nhand. Design a safe, auditable path from change to apply.\n- Run and evolve our cloud networking across multiple clouds: address planning, private connectivity and secure\nengineer access to private resources.\n- Operate production Kubernetes and the delivery pipeline around it: clusters, secrets, CI/CD, preview\nenvironments and build performance.\n- Own observability and its cost. Make alerts meaningful, telemetry affordable and dashboards trustworthy.\n- Drive security and compliance work to closure with evidence.\n- Operate large production databases safely, including patching, failover, auditing and replication.\n- Lead the infrastructure side of incidents and forensics.\nWhat we're looking for:\nYou've done most of this before, not just contributed to it:\n- 6+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, SRE or platform engineering, owning production systems end to end.\n- Led infrastructure-as-code adoption or cleanup in an existing environment, including imports, drift and\nstate problems.\n- Run production Kubernetes and a multi-account cloud environment.\n- Designed and debugged non-trivial cloud networks: peering, transit, VPN, overlapping ranges and private\naccess.\n- Operated mission-critical relational databases in production.\n- Built or rebuilt an observability stack and brought its cost under control.\n- Closed real security and compliance findings (SOC 2 or similar), with audit-worthy evidence.\nNice to haves:\nFintech or other regulated-industry experience; supporting enterprise or customer-hosted deployments; cost\noptimization at scale.\nCompensation\nTop-of-market salary and equity package\n\nBenefits (for U.S.-based full-time employees)\n\nMedical, dental & vision insurance coverage for you\n\n401(k) & Match\n\nEquity\n\nFlexible PTO\n\nParental Leave\n\nStuut is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a team with diverse backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences.
