This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on building and deploying AI agents, automations, and intelligent workflows using the Microsoft technology stack. You'll work directly alongside experienced engineers, solution architects, and client stakeholders to transform business challenges into practical AI solutions that deliver immediate value.\nThis role is ideal for an early-career engineer who is passionate about emerging AI technologies, enjoys solving complex problems, and wants to gain real-world experience delivering production systems for enterprise clients. You will be embedded within project teams, frequently collaborating onsite with clients, and will have the opportunity to rapidly develop both your technical and consulting skills.\nPosition Summary\nAs an AI Engineer I, you will contribute to the design, configuration, development, testing, and deployment of AI-powered solutions built on Microsoft's AI and data ecosystem. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and solution architects, you will help deliver AI agents, copilots, workflow automations, and data-driven applications that support clients across the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.\nYou will work directly with clients to understand business requirements, demonstrate solutions, troubleshoot issues, and translate technical concepts into clear, actionable outcomes. Success in this role requires technical curiosity, strong communication skills, professionalism in client settings, and a desire to continuously learn emerging AI technologies.\nKey Responsibilities\nAI Solution Development\nBuild, configure, test, and support AI agents, copilots, and intelligent workflows using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Power Platform, and Power Automate.\n\nAssist in the development and deployment of AI-driven solutions that solve operational, business, and project delivery challenges.\n\nParticipate in solution design sessions and contribute ideas for improving performance, usability, and scalability.\n\nSupport the integration of AI capabilities into existing client platforms and business processes.\n\nDevelop and maintain prompts, knowledge sources, workflows, and agent configurations following established standards and best practices.\n\nClient Delivery & Stakeholder Engagement\nParticipate in client-facing workshops, discovery sessions, and solution demonstrations.\n\nGather business and technical requirements directly from stakeholders and document findings.\n\nExplain AI concepts, technical solutions, and implementation approaches in language accessible to non-technical audiences.\n\nTroubleshoot issues during demonstrations, testing, and production deployments while maintaining professionalism and composure.\n\nSupport onsite client engagements as required throughout the project lifecycle.\n\nData & Platform Engineering\nDevelop and maintain data flows across Microsoft platforms including Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365.\n\nAssist with data preparation, transformation, integration, and governance activities supporting AI solutions.\n\nSupport secure and scalable data architectures that enable effective AI and automation capabilities.\n\nCollaborate with software engineers, data engineers, and architects to ensure successful solution delivery.\n\nEngineering Excellence\nWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code and configurations.\n\nParticipate in code reviews, testing activities, and quality assurance processes.\n\nFollow established development standards, naming conventions, security practices, and documentation requirements.\n\nContribute to technical documentation, deployment guides, runbooks, user guides, and knowledge-sharing materials.\n\nHelp execute user acceptance testing (UAT), collect feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.\n\nProfessional Growth & Project Ownership\nTake ownership of small features, enhancements, or workstreams from design through deployment.\n\nLearn to estimate effort, manage tasks, and deliver work reliably against project training, and real-world project experience.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related technical field.\n\n0-2 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, AI, machine learning, or related disciplines.\n\nInternship, co-op, academic project, or personal project experience demonstrating software development or AI solution delivery.\n\nWorking proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python and/orTypeScript/JavaScript.\n\nAbility to read, understand, debug, and modify existing codebases.\n\nFoundational understanding of large language models (LLMs), AI agents, prompt engineering, retrieval concepts, or agent orchestration principles.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nComfortable interacting directly with clients and stakeholders in professional settings.\n\nDemonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt in fast-paced environments.\n\nStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, and self-motivation.\n\nWillingness and ability to travel and work onsite at client locations as required.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to Microsoft Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Power Platform, or Power Automate.\n\nExperience with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Dataverse, Microsoft Fabric, or cloud-based data platforms.\n\nFamiliarity with REST APIs, integrations, and modern software development practices.\n\nExperience working with SQL, data modeling, or data integration concepts.\n\nUnderstanding of prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), tool/function calling, or agent
