Our ideal candidate should have experience in managing construction projects in District 5 for the FDOT and/or local municipalities.\nResponsibilities, including but not limited to:\nDirecting a highly complex and specialized construction engineering administration and inspection program\nPlanning and organizing the work of subordinate and staff members\nDeveloping and/or reviewing policies, methods, practices, and procedures\nReviewing programs for conformance with Department of Transportation standards\nLead CEI project pursuits including assisting in marketing and business development efforts\nManage and administer QA/QC program\nStrong command of construction scheduling, proposal development and contractor means and methods for typical roadway construction elements to include, clearing and grubbing, environmental, drainage, piling, drilled shafts, retaining walls, paving and pavement base, bridge construction, concrete, asphalt, signing and lighting,\nOversee and manage all aspects of the construction project to ensure compliance with FDOT specifications, including planning, coordination, and execution.\nConduct thorough inspection of construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications, FDOT standards, and safety regulations.\nCommunicate directly with owner representatives and contractor to strategize complex operations and resolve contract challenges.\nEvaluate project claims, delays and coordinate timely resolution with client\n Develop cost estimates to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget\n Education and Experience:\nCivil Engineering degree and six (6) years of engineering experience\nTwo (2) of those years involved in relevant transportation projects\nMaster’s degree in engineering - may be substituted for one (1) years of engineering experience\nPreference of experience with FDOT Policies and Procedures\nCommunicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing)\nLicensure: (Not required for this position)\nProfessional Engineer (PE) registered in the State of Florida\nAbility to obtain endorsement in the State of Florida within six months of Project NTP if registered in another state\n Qualifications / Certifications:\nFDOT Advanced Maintenance of Traffic (MOT)\nCTQP Quality Control Manager\nCompensation Range:\n$94,459.48 - $107,953.69STV offers the following benefits\nHealth insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable)\nDisability insurance\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401(k) Plan\nRetirement Counseling\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nBack-Up Dependent Care\nParental Leave\nContinuing Education Program\nProfessional Licensure and Society Memberships\nSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
