You’ll contribute to projects that improve mobility, strengthen communities, and create lasting impact across Texas and beyond.\nWhat You’ll Do\nDesign roadway and highway improvements, including highway geometrics, 3D models, drainage and stormwater management, signing and striping, erosion and sediment control, and utility coordination.\nSupport projects from planning and schematic design through PS&E and construction, applying sound engineering judgment, standards, and best practices.\nApply STV’s quality control and quality assurance procedures to help deliver accurate, complete, and client-focused design plans.\nCollaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to deliver roadway projects that meet client goals, schedules, and technical requirements.\nMentor and provide technical guidance to junior and mid-level engineering staff while helping build a strong, collaborative design team.\nPrepare plan quantities, engineering estimates, and construction specifications that support successful project delivery.\nProvide construction-phase support, including plan reviews, responses to contractor questions, and coordination to help keep projects moving forward.\nAssist with or lead project tracking for scope, schedule, and budget to support timely, high-quality delivery.\nParticipate in client meetings, proposal efforts, and business development activities as opportunities arise.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.\nEngineer-In-Training (E.I.T) or a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.\n3-7 years of relevant roadway, civil, or transportation engineering experience.\nStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate design challenges and develop practical, effective solutions.\nExperience with roadway design software such as MicroStation, OpenRoads, InRoads/GEOPAK; AutoCAD experience is a plus.\nInterest in staying engaged with the industry through professional organizations, technical learning, or community involvement.\nClear communication, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with clients and internal teams.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a collaborative project environment.\nCommitment to keeping current with roadway engineering standards, regulations, and best practices.\nWhy STV?\nAt STV, you’ll join a people-centered, infrastructure-focused firm where your work helps shape the communities we serve.
