This internship offers an opportunity for undergraduate and graduate-level candidates to work alongside our experienced team, learn, and contribute to meaningful projects. Preference will be given to those who can participate in the internship for at least 3 months and can work full-time.\nIn this role, you will work with senior and junior designers to assist in completing project construction documents for various projects. The group provides design services to both public agencies and other larger design projects; major projects typically include commercial, aviation, federal, and more.\nResponsibilities:\nAssist with daily, on-site oversight of construction activities and document project progress.\n\nConduct on-site observations of contractor work and identify potential quality issues, deficiencies, or deviations from project plans and specifications.\n\nObserve and document the quality and quantity of work performed by the contractor and the contractor’s QC/QA inspection staff.\n\nMonitor contractor compliance with project plans, specifications, quality requirements, and applicable safety procedures.\n\nReview plans and specifications to develop an understanding of project requirements and identify potential construction issues prior to and during construction.\n\nAssist in determining the need for changes or additional work based on field conditions and observed construction activities.\n\nCoordinate with contractors to understand and track the schedule of work and upcoming construction activities.\n\nMaintain accurate daily reports, inspection records, project documentation, plans, and other construction records.\n\nAttend weekly project meetings and assist with documenting project updates, action items, and outstanding issues.\n\nSupport the STV project team with field documentation, project coordination, and other construction management activities as needed.\n\nPerform other duties as assigned.\n\nRequired Experience:\nCurrently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction, project management, or similar program.\n\nKnowledge of safety standards and procedures in construction.\n\nThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.\nCompensation Range:\n$52,526.00 - $59,689.00STV offers the following benefits\nHealth insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable)\nDisability insurance\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401(k) Plan\nRetirement Counseling\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nBack-Up Dependent Care\nParental Leave\nContinuing Education Program\nProfessional Licensure and Society Memberships\nSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
