You’ll work on visible transportation improvements, learn from experienced technical leaders, and build your career on projects that make a real impact in the communities we serve.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nYou’ll help keep complex construction projects moving by supporting transit, freight rail, bridge, heavy civil, and roadway assignments, including:\nReview plans, specifications, schedules, safety requirements, and project procedures to support successful project delivery.\nKeep office staff, field teams, and internal stakeholders aligned with clear, timely project information.\nMaintain project records and documentation in Procore, Kahua, or equivalent systems.\nReview contractor schedules, coordinate progress reviews, and prepare progress reports.\nReview technical documents, including contractor submittals, RFIs, as-built plans, and drawings.\nSupport claims review, change orders, contract modifications, and cost/time estimates.\nPartner with field teams to coordinate daily inspection reports and help maintain project momentum.\nPerform other project-related duties as assigned.\nTypical assignments include local bus and rail transit projects, with supervision from a Project Manager and/or Resident Engineer.\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nBachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited university\nMinimum of seven years of experience in design, construction, or major repair/rehabilitation of infrastructure projects\nStrong written, verbal, and technical communication skills\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Procore\nPreferred Qualifications:\nProfessional Engineer License\nKnowledge of local transportation and transit agency standards and specifications including VPRA, VRE and VDOT\nCompensation Range:\n$99,431.03 - $113,635.46STV offers the following benefits\nHealth insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable)\nDisability insurance\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401(k) Plan\nRetirement Counseling\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nBack-Up Dependent Care\nParental Leave\nContinuing Education Program\nProfessional Licensure and Society Memberships\nSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
