The ideal candidate brings strong field leadership, construction administration knowledge, and the ability to keep complex projects moving forward in occupied campus environments.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead day-to-day design and construction management activities across multiple active projects and campus sites.\nAct as a primary point of coordination between the client, contractors, design teams, campus representatives, agencies, and project stakeholders.\nCommunicate professionally with school administrators, staff, students, parents, contractors, inspectors, and members of the public.\nMonitor construction progress, contractor performance, schedule adherence, quality expectations, and overall field coordination.\nIdentify potential field issues early, document progress, and help drive timely resolution of non-conformance items.\nPrepare thorough daily reports capturing construction progress, observations, site activities, issues, and follow-up items.\nParticipate in preconstruction meetings, progress meetings, coordination meetings, punch list reviews, and closeout activities.\nReview construction documents, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and field conditions for general conformance with project requirements.\nSupport schedule tracking, quantity review, budget awareness, documentation control, and proactive issue management.\nHelp manage construction activities in occupied, operational campus environments while minimizing disruption to school operations.\nCoordinate with utility providers, inspectors, local agencies, third-party consultants, vendors, and specialty contractors as needed.\nPreferred Background\nFamiliarity with Dallas permitting, inspections, and agency coordination.\nBackground includes serving as an owner’s representative and supporting public-sector clients in a construction management capacity.\nPrevious coordination with Austin Energy, Austin Water, Austin Transportation and Public Works, Texas Gas Service, or similar agencies and utility providers.\nProven ability to manage renovation, modernization, or capital improvement projects in occupied facilities.\nA track record supporting K-12 bond programs, educational facilities, institutional campuses, or public-sector capital improvement programs.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field is preferred; an equivalent construction or design background may also be considered.\n5-10 years in design or construction management or a related role supporting commercial, institutional, public-sector, or K-12 educational facility projects.\nExperience as an owner’s representative in a design and construction environment is preferred.\nStrong communication, client relationship, problem-solving, and stakeholder coordination skills.\nAbility to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment while representing STV with professionalism, sound judgment, and accountability.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction/project management software platforms.\nA registered architect, PE, or related professional registration is a plus.\nCompensation Range:\n$130,962.60 - $149,671.54STV offers the following benefits\nHealth insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable)\nDisability insurance\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401(k) Plan\nRetirement Counseling\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nBack-Up Dependent Care\nParental Leave\nContinuing Education Program\nProfessional Licensure and Society Memberships\nSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
