This position plays a critical role in supporting the permitting, regulatory compliance, and documentation processes associated with capital construction projects. Working closely with Senior Project Officers, project management staff, design consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies, the Project Officer will help facilitate project approvals and ensure compliance with applicable municipal requirements.\nThe ideal candidate will have experience navigating New York City permitting processes, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and supporting construction and capital improvement projects within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nReview permit application packages and supporting documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with applicable requirements.\nCoordinate and support permit filings with New York City agencies, including but not limited to the Department of Buildings (DOB), Department of Transportation (DOT), Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), and other regulatory entities.\nAssist project teams, consultants, and permit applicants throughout the permit application and approval process.\nTrack permit applications, approvals, comments, and agency responses to support project schedules and delivery milestones.\nDeliver and retrieve project documentation from various city agencies as required.\nWork closely with plan examiners, agency representatives, consultants, and project stakeholders to facilitate permit approvals and address review comments.\nResearch existing building records, permits, certificates, and regulatory requirements through municipal databases and agency resources.\nMaintain accurate project documentation, records, and permit logs.\nPrepare correspondence, status reports, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.\nSupport construction management teams with regulatory compliance activities and special projects as assigned.\nPerform additional duties as required to support successful project execution.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Engineering Technology, Building Sciences, or a related field from an accredited institution.\nMinimum of 6 years of relevant experience supporting construction, permitting, facilities, architecture, engineering, or capital improvement projects.\nKnowledge of New York City permitting processes, agency requirements, and construction documentation.\nExperience coordinating with regulatory agencies and managing permit-related activities.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.\nStrong
