This is an excellent role for a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional that enjoys being a part of a team environment. This opening is a great opportunity for a professional to technically while leading a multidisciplinary design team. Prior experience leading design efforts would be a plus, as this could be a next step in your career to take on an office leadership role.\nThe successful candidate will:\nProvide professional design services for transportation projects for municipal agencies and FDOT.\nDesign roadway geometry and details, drainage (a plus), traffic control, signing and pavement markings for transportation infrastructure.\nInteract with client management teams, engineers in other technical disciplines, and marketing teams\nDesign experience using MicroStation, experience in Open Roads (ORD) is a plus\nCoordinate design development and assisting with technical direction to other design staff\nCoordinate with the design team to achieve quality deliverables within the established schedule and budget\nAssist with the development of specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports\nWork with practice and office leadership, client development, business development and industry participation to advance your career and STV’s growth.\nEstablish working relationships and interface with client technical staff and project managers\nMentor supporting Civil design staff\nRequirements:\nA minimum of 5 years of experience in all technical aspects of roadway design\nExperience in design with intersections, roundabouts, interchanges, widenings, and bike/ped facilities.\nExperience with using Open Roads Designer is a plus\nFamiliarity with the current edition of FDOT FDM and Standard Plans, AASHTO Green Book and MUTCD\nExperience with FDOT and other FL municipalities\nStrong inter-personal skills for client and other engineering discipline interaction\nThe ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering\nFL PE license is required \nThis position is not eligible for sponsorship.\nCompensation Range:\n$75,980.92 - $86,835.34STV offers the following benefits\nHealth insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable)\nDisability insurance\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401(k) Plan\nRetirement Counseling\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nBack-Up Dependent Care\nParental Leave\nContinuing Education Program\nProfessional Licensure and Society Memberships\nSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
