Senior Infrastructure Economist

STVhasanexcellentopportunityfor aSeniorInfrastructureEconomist to join our Advisory department at one of our major northeast offices.Weareseekingaself-motivatedeconomisttojoinagrowinggroupthatprovideseconomicresearchandfindingsforveryinterestinginfrastructure-relatedeconomicquestions.Ourclientsaretypicallygovernmentalentitiesandprivatesectorwhobringtousprojectsthatassist themrealizingtheircurrentorfutureinfrastructureneeds.RemoteworkisanoptionavailableintheUS.

Responsibilitiesinclude:

• Team/taskleaderforclientprojectsincludingstaffprojectassignmentsandprofessionalguidance

• Day-to-dayclientinteraction

• Providesolutionstoclientquestionsthataredevelopedfromafoundationofunderstandingoranalysisofclientbusinesspracticesandgoals

• Ensureprojectgoalsanddeadlinesaremet

• Ensurethehighestlevelofeconomicresearchisconductedthroughdefiningscopeofwork,developingqualificationstatements,anddevelopingprojectstrategyplans

• Clientdevelopmentsupport

• Proposal and marketing support

MinimumRequirements

• Bachelor’sdegreeineconomics,business,civilinfrastructureengineering,orrelatedfield

• 6plusyearsofexperienceineconomicinfrastructureresearchsuchastransportation, energyorwaterorsimilarindustry

• Mustbeabletoperformeconomicprojectsindependentlyandleadtasks

• Experience increating benefit-cost models

• Experienceinappliedeconometricsoradvancedforecasting

• Excellentdatamanagementandquantitativeskills

• ProficientinMSEXCEL

• Commitmenttoqualityandprovidingobjectiveanalysisandattentiontodetail

• Abilitytointeractwithclientsonaregularbasis

PreferredQualifications

• Master’sdegreeineconomics,planning,business,civilinfrastructureengineering,orrelatedfield

• ExperiencewithMSACCESSandeconometricprogramssuchasSPSS,STATA,EVIEWS

• Experienceapplyingeconomicassessmentmodels

• ExperiencewithuseofGISsoftwareanddatasets

• Strongwritingskillsareessential

• Businessdevelopmentandsales/marketingexperienceincludingpursuitofstrategydevelopment,bidpreparation,andcoordination

• Technicalexperienceinoneormoreeconomic/infrastructuremarketanalysisareasandabilitytomanagesmalltomid-sizeprojects

• Excellentoralcommunicationsandorganizationalskills

• 10plusyearsofexperienceineconomicinfrastructureresearchsuchastransportation, energy,waterorsimilarindustry
