You'll have the opportunity to shape project outcomes, develop future leaders, and contribute to the continued growth of STV's transit practice.\nWhat You'll Do\nServe as the primary point of contact between clients, contractors, designers, and project stakeholders.\nLead the delivery of transit and rail construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, schedule, and budget objectives are achieved.\nManage and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, including field inspectors, office engineers, safety managers, quality managers, project controls specialists, and subconsultants.\nFacilitate construction meetings and provide leadership in resolving project challenges.\nCoordinate project staffing and team assignments in partnership with Construction Management department leadership.\nPromote and enforce safety standards in accordance with client and industry requirements.\nReview and interpret construction plans, specifications, contracts, and technical documents.\nConduct site visits, review inspection reports, and provide guidance to project teams.\nEvaluate contractor schedules and monitor compliance with contract requirements.\nOversee project management activities in alignment with STV and client expectations.\nManage contract administration, including change orders, invoicing, and project documentation.\nEnsure quality assurance processes are followed and provide quality-related training to project staff.\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts.\nParticipate in project pursuits, proposal development, teaming strategies, and market growth initiatives within the transit and rail sector.\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\n10+ years of experience in resident engineering and/or construction management, with a focus on transit and rail projects.\nProven experience leading complex construction projects and multidisciplinary teams.\nStrong understanding of construction contracts, project controls, scheduling, and contract administration.\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, contractors, and project teams.\nExperience supporting business development activities, including proposals, pursuits, and client engagement.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project scheduling software, including Oracle Primavera P6.\nPreferred Qualifications\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in Illinois or the ability to obtain Illinois registration through reciprocity.\nCertified Construction Manager (CCM) and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.\nExperience working with major public transportation agencies, commuter rail systems, or transit authorities.\nWhy Join STV?\nAt STV, you'll have the opportunity to work on impactful transit and rail infrastructure projects that help connect communities and improve mobility.
