If you’re looking for a role where your ideas matter, your leadership is visible, and your work helps communities move safely and efficiently, this is a strong next step.\nWhat You’ll Do\nLead corridor, mobility, transportation master planning, traffic impact, safety, and multimodal studies for state, regional, and local clients.\nUse data, modeling, and visualization tools to help clients understand transportation needs, evaluate alternatives, and make informed investment decisions.\nDevelop travel demand models, traffic forecasts, growth projections, and scenario analyses using tools such as VISUM, TransCAD, ArcGIS, Power BI, Tableau, and SQL-based datasets.\nConduct traffic operations, safety, and microsimulation analyses using HCM and HSM methodologies, Synchro, VISSIM, SIDRA, and related platforms.\nEvaluate transit, active transportation, freight, connectivity, and emerging mobility strategies that support stronger, more connected communities.\nServe as a project manager or technical lead, guiding scope, schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction.\nPrepare reports, presentations, and recommendations that clearly communicate technical findings to clients, agencies, and stakeholders.\nMentor junior staff, support proposal and interview efforts, and contribute to the continued growth of STV’s Texas transportation practice.\nCollaborate with roadway, traffic design, ITS, transit, environmental, and planning professionals on multidisciplinary projects.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Planning, or a related field.\n11+ years of experience in transportation planning, traffic engineering, ITS/transportation technology, or related consulting work.\nTexas PE license.\nExperience leading corridor, transportation planning, traffic operations, safety, multimodal, or transit studies.\nAbility to apply travel demand models, transportation datasets, GIS, and visualization tools to solve problems and support decision-making.\nA collaborative leadership style with experience managing projects, guiding technical work, and mentoring team members.\nStrong writing, presentation, communication, and client relationship skills.\nExperience with traffic signal design, ITS, signing and pavement marking, traffic control, or roadway design is a plus.\nLI#-Hybrid\nLI#-MS1\nCompensation Range:\n$146,678.11 - $167,632.13STV offers the following benefits\nHealth insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable)\nDisability insurance\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401(k) Plan\nRetirement Counseling\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nBack-Up Dependent Care\nParental Leave\nContinuing Education Program\nProfessional Licensure and Society Memberships\nSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
