This is an excellent opportunity for a creative, self-motivated, and detail-oriented professional looking to take their career to the next level and grow a South Carolina based Bridge Group.\nThis position offers the opportunity for professional development at an Engineering News-Record (ENR) Top 50 rated firm that is poised for significant growth!\nResponsibilities Include:\nWork as an integral part of the Carolinas Bridge Practice.\nManage projects involving bridge/structural design. Highly qualified candidates will also manage bridge maintenance inspections and rehabilitation design.\nProvide analysis, design, and inspection of bridges and related structures.\nSupport and/or lead structural design on transportation projects.\nServe as project manager or bridge design task lead as needed.\nSign and seal bridge plans, and roadway structure plans, as Engineer of Record.\nManage and/or perform structural calculations, analysis, modeling, and quantification, to include Seismic. \nSupport preparation of technical proposals to win work.\nProvide leadership and direction by mentoring and motivating junior staff.\nGrow and manage a South Carolina based Bridge Group.\nWork with senior managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop budgets, schedules, proposals, client service plans, and project delivery plans.\nAssist senior staff in oversight of project delivery to ensure projects meet or exceed forecasted profit margins.\nProactively drive safety and ensure that health and safety practices are maintained.\nAssist in maintaining quality of project deliverables produced by the Carolinas Bridge Practice.\nFoster and manage Bridge client relationships at appropriate levels to help procure new business. Engage in leadership positions in professional societies and meetings where you will work to develop and maintain relationships with clients, teaming partners, and recruit potential technical staff hires.\nQualifications Include:\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred but not required.\nMinimum of 5 years of progressive design experience on structural engineering projects. Extensive highway structure experience in South Carolina, including Seismic analysis, is required. Alternative Delivery experience is required.\nSCDOT, NCDOT experience, GDOT experience, and/or rail experience is a plus. NBIS certification is a plus. Maintenance inspection experience and rehabilitation/repair expertise is a plus. \nProfessional Engineer (PE) license in South Carolina required.\nSolid structural analysis, load rating, and design skills with an understanding of related engineering disciplines needed to complete transportation and infrastructure projects.\nProject management skills and ability to plan and coordinate work efforts needed to meet deadlines.\nProficiency in MicroStation.
