You’ll lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects while helping grow our practice and strengthen client relationships statewide.\nIn this role, you’ll manage projects from planning through construction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and mentor junior staff. You’ll also support business development, develop proposals, and work closely with clients to understand their needs and deliver practical solutions.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities\nManage the planning, design, bidding, and construction administration of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.\nLead projects involving water distribution, wastewater collection, pumping stations, and water and wastewater treatment facilities.\nDevelop and manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and deliverables.\nProvide technical oversight of engineering analyses, system modeling, design calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates.\nCoordinate multidisciplinary teams and review deliverables for technical quality and compliance with project requirements.\nServe as a primary client contact and participate in client meetings, public meetings, and site visits.\nCoordinate permitting and approvals with regulatory agencies and other project stakeholders.\nMonitor project financial performance and manage changes to scope, budget, and schedule.\nBuild and maintain client relationships and identify opportunities to expand STV’s services throughout Kentucky.\nPrepare proposals, scopes of work, fee estimates, and client presentations.\nMentor junior engineers and support the professional development of project staff.\nHere’s What You’ll Need\nBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.\nMinimum of 12 years of relevant water and wastewater engineering experience, including project management, design, and construction administration in a consulting environment.\n Professional Engineer (PE) license required, with Kentucky registration or the ability to obtain Kentucky registration within six months of hire.\nStrong technical background in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure, including planning, design, bidding, and construction administration.\nDemonstrated ability to manage project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and quality.\nExperience developing proposals, supporting business development, and maintaining client relationships.\nExperience leading multidisciplinary teams and mentoring technical staff.\nStrong communication, technical writing, organizational, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and work effectively both independently and within a team.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.\nEstablished relationships with municipal utilities and public-sector clients in Kentucky.\nExperience with water distribution and wastewater collection system modeling.\nFamiliarity with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, InfoWater, WaterGEMS, KYPIPE, or InfoWorks.\nCompensation Range:\n$140,810.99 - $160,926.84STV offers the following benefits\nHealth insurance, including an option with a Health Savings Account\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nFlexible Spending Accounts (Healthcare, Dependent Care and Transit and Parking where applicable)\nDisability insurance\nLife Insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment\n401(k) Plan\nRetirement Counseling\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid Time Off\nPaid Holidays\nBack-Up Dependent Care\nParental Leave\nContinuing Education Program\nProfessional Licensure and Society Memberships\nSTV is committed to paying all of its employees in a fair, equitable, and transparent manner.
