The Sr. Network Administrator monitors network performance, troubleshoots complex issues, and ensures optimal functionality across multiple sites. Strong analytical skills, extensive knowledge of network protocols, and experience with enterprise network solutions are essential for success in this role.\nCore Technical Competencies:\nCisco-based technologies such as Nexus-series switching, wireless, routing, and ISE are prevalent in the environment today. Technologies from Cisco Meraki and Juniper are being evaluated.\nFortinet FortiGate firewalls.\nCloud networking technologies in both Azure and AWS.\nBIG-IP F5 load balancers and enhanced features such as Web Application Firewall.\nRouting Protocols such as BGP and OSPF. \nKnowledge of Ansible for Network Automation is a plus.\nMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES\nDetermines requirements, data flows and systems definitions by communicating with managerial, administrative, and technical staff.\nPerforms project oversight duties that include risk management, testing, documentation and training for information systems initiatives.\nEstablishes, controls, and maintains systems access and security.\nDemonstrates effective time management by meeting deadlines and business objectives.\nEvaluates system performance with the goal of optimization. Initiates recovery action after system failures.\nPrimary support role for enterprise networking and telecommunications for data center and all corporate office locations\nCoordinates system updates and replacement of outdated hardware.\nAssists in the facilitation of team meetings.\nMentor's junior members of the team. Leads project work and delegates appropriately.\nADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES\nAssists in the testing & deployment of new equipment and network systems.\nDelivers technical reports on the performance & operation of network systems.\nCoordinates the activities of support staff and help desk personnel and handles escalated support issues.\nProposes innovative solutions by approaching problems with curiosity and open mindedness, using existing information and vendor resources to its fullest potential.\nMaintains network performance by monitoring and analysis of network devices, routers, switches, VPN gateways, telephony systems, intrusion detection systems and other network resources.\nSupport Subaru’s values by living out the Subaru Love Promise and supporting a diverse and inclusive work environment.\nREQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS\nCapable of working independently and a self-starter who performs initiatives that provide solutions for business requirements.\nExcellent communication skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize work.\nAbility to rely on knowledge and research to perform effective troubleshooting.\nAbility to respond to complex technical challenges by coordinating resources to devise effective solutions as well as by escalating on-going technical issues to vendor as required.\nAbility to initiate activities to maintain and update knowledge of emerging IT trends.\nAbility to take on analysis and project work (50% technical, 50% analysis) \nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS Degree with 4 to 6 years of enterprise networking experience. Relevant experience accepted in lieu of a degree.\nWORK ENVIRONMENT\n Office Location: Coppell, TX OR Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)\n Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days) [Wednesdays & Fridays] \nInternal Work Environment: Prolonged sitting at desk and computer.\nPhysical Demands: Occasionally lifts and moves computing equipment up to 75 lbs.\nTravel Required: 10-20%\nCOMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $88,000 - $125,000/year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
