You’ll own quality for products that directly affect how people access care.\nRole Overview: We’re looking for a QA Lead to own the quality and test strategy across all Subscribili products. You’ll design and drive our automated testing (built on Playwright), embed quality into an Agile delivery process, and lead and mentor the QA function - catching issues before they ever reach patients and partners.\nReports To: Engineering Manager\nRequirements\nKey Responsibilities:\nThis role is organized around five core areas. Each describes what we expect you to own and deliver.\nTest Strategy & Ownership\nOwn the overall system test strategy and QA function across all Subscribili products.\n\nDefine test plans, coverage targets, and quality gates for releases.\n\nIdentify testing dependencies, risks, and gaps early, and communicate them clearly to the project team.\n\nTest Automation & Engineering\nDesign, build, and maintain scalable, reusable automated test suites - our automation suite runs on Playwright.\n\nAutomate front-end and API testing to catch issues before they reach end-users.\n\nApply engineering principles to test design, keeping the suite fast, reliable, and maintainable.\n\nQuality Execution & Reporting\nPlan and execute system-level, regression, and smoke testing across environments.\n\nTriage failures, isolate root causes, and partner with developers through debugging.\n\nMaintain test coverage, quality, and KPI reports; run post-release and post-implementation checks.\n\nCollaboration & Agile Delivery\nDrive the QA lifecycle within an Agile/Scrum process alongside developers and product managers.\n\nShift quality left - engage early in the SDLC to prevent defects, not just find them.\n\nIntegrate automated tests into CI/CD so quality is continuous.\n\nLeadership & Mentorship\nLead the QA team; mentor and grow more junior members.\n\nSet QA standards and best practices that others follow.\n\nCommunicate quality status, risks, and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.\n\nCore Technical Skills:\nThe capabilities we expect you to bring to the role, grouped by area.\nQA Foundations & Methodologies\n6+ years testing web applications, including in a QA Lead or similar role.\n\nStrong command of QA methodologies, best practices, and test strategy.\n\nSolid experience with both front-end and API testing - manual and automated.\n\nTest Automation\nHands-on with a modern test-automation framework - our suite runs on Playwright; equivalent experience (e.g., Selenium, Cypress) transfers directly.\n\nAbility to build scalable, reusable automation scripts and run them in an Agile/Scrum environment.\n\nProficiency in a test-automation language such as TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.\n\nAI-Assisted QA\nWorking knowledge of AI tools for testing -
