We would like to hire someone interested in a career, not a job, who wants to do the work and be recognized for a job well done!\nThe Role - Financial Analyst - Manufacturing\nThe Financial Analyst - Manufacturing provides financial and operational analysis to improve profitability, cost accuracy, and business performance. Key areas of responsibility include analyzing customer and product profitability; monitoring labor, material, purchasing, and manufacturing variances; partnering with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and corrective actions; supporting cost standards, quoting, repricing, sourcing, and continuous-improvement decisions; developing forecasts and monitoring invoicing and order-to-cash performance; and translating complex data into clear insights for monthly and quarterly business reviews.\nWhat You'll Do\nDevelop and maintain quote-to-actual analysis of labor, material, outside processing, freight, scrap, rework, revenue, margin, and manufacturing variances.\nMeasure profitability and true manufacturing cost by customer, product family, top-level part number, assembly/SKU, work order, and work center.\nCompare quoted labor hours and costs with actual performance by work order, SKU, customer, and work center; quantify favorable and unfavorable variances.\nPartner with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality, and Engineering to identify labor-variance drivers, including staffing, training, process flow, downtime, quality, rework, shortages, engineering changes, and quote assumptions.\nCompare quoted BOM and material costs with actual purchase cost and consumption; track material contribution and Purchase Price Variance (PPV) by customer, SKU, supplier, and product family.\nTrack financial impact, root cause, corrective action, owner, due date, expected recovery, and validated results.\nTranslate demand, backlog, open orders, and production schedules into a rolling quarterly forecast of sales, revenue, labor, material requirements, margin dollars, and margin percentage.\nOwn financial and operational data preparation and leadership presentations for Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews, covering forecast performance, profitability, labor, materials, PPV, manufacturing variances, inventory, corrective actions, risks, and opportunities.\nWhat You Bring (Required Experience)\nBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline and three or more years of experience in financial analysis, manufacturing finance, cost accounting, operations analysis, or a related manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.\nStrong analytical, organizational, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel with demonstrated ability to analyze large data sets.\nWorking knowledge of ERP/MRP systems, item masters, BOMs, routings, work orders, inventory transactions, customer orders, and invoicing processes.\nUnderstanding of standard costing, actual costing, labor variance, material variance, PPV, contribution margin, and product/customer profitability.\nExperience creating executive-level financial and operational business review presentations.\nWhat We Offer - Why Choose Suburban Enterprises?\nTeam Member Ownership: Work for a company where your contributions directly impact your future\nCommitment to Safety: Safety isn’t just a priority; it’s our promise to you and your family\nCareer Growth: This isn't just a job - it's a career path with opportunities for advancement\nContinuous Learning: Investment in your professional development\nCollaborative Culture: Work with a team that values respect, integrity, and excellence\nComprehensive Benefits: Competitive pay, ESOP, 401(K) with employer match, and much more!\nReady to Join Us?\nOur high standards of service to our customers and clients require that we select only the top team members based on our culture and core values so please read and understand them or come with clarifying questions because we work, live, hire and promote by them.
