Production Supervisor

Position Summary: The Swing Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations and personnel within the Production department. This role ensures that all safety, quality, and operational standards are upheld and that production goals are consistently met. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, able to lead by example, and committed to fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and cross-functional teamwork.

The Supervisor will play a key role in training, performance feedback, and process improvement while maintaining a strong floor presence and actively engaging with team members to resolve issues, remove obstacles, and support a safe and efficient work environment. Other duties may be assigned. Supervise and direct all employees and production activities within assigned area. Ensure compliance with all Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations, policies, and procedures; promote a safety-first culture by modeling safe behaviors and holding team members accountable to safety expectations.

Maintain working knowledge of production processes, equipment operation, and quality requirements. Ensure established production goals are met while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Monitor and evaluate individual and team performance; provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action when necessary.

Complete daily production reports and ensure operational data is accurately recorded and communicated. Partner with internal teams (quality, maintenance, engineering, planning) to ensure smooth flow of work, material availability, and issue resolution. Provide on-the-job training and cross-training to build skill depth and bench strength within the team.

Proactively identify and eliminate bottlenecks or inefficiencies; implement continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure production paperwork is accurate and aligned with customer requirements. Participate in quality audits and lead corrective action efforts when deviations are identified.

Promote housekeeping standards and ensure work areas are clean, organized, and safe. Support compliance with company policies and procedures at all times. Serve as a leader and resource on the floor by maintaining visibility, approachability, and consistent communication.

Maintain flexibility to support production needs across multiple lines or shifts as required. Perform other duties as assigned
