This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful deal ownership, sophisticated transactional exposure, and direct access to experienced attorneys in the affordable housing space.\nThe Role\nThe successful candidate will play a central role in affordable housing transactions, taking increasing ownership of matters from initial drafting through closing.\nKey responsibilities include:\nDraft, review, and negotiate sophisticated real estate transaction documents.\nHandle acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and multi-layered LIHTC financing transactions.\nDraft and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, joint venture agreements, loan documents, and organizational documents.\nCoordinate transactions involving multiple parties, financing sources, tax-exempt bonds, and tax credit programs.\nManage deal timelines and help drive transactions from signing through closing.\nWork closely with partners, clients, opposing counsel, lenders, investors, and other transaction participants.\nTake ownership of matters and contribute meaningfully within a collaborative, flat deal-team structure.\nWhat We're Looking For\n3-6 years of experience, with approximately 3-5 years particularly relevant for this position.\nExperience practicing transactional affordable housing and/or LIHTC law at a law firm.\nStrong transactional real estate experience, including drafting and negotiating complex deal documents.\nDemonstrated experience working on multi-layered financing transactions.\nAbility to manage multiple stakeholders, deadlines, and moving parts through closing.\nStrong attention to detail, judgment, and communication skills.\nA proactive approach and the ability to take ownership of transactions quickly.\nBroader commercial real estate transactional experience is a plus.\nWhy This Is a Great Opportunity\nThis is more than a traditional mid-level associate role.
