Coordinate and implement detailed space plans to address customer space requirements within allotted time and budget constraints in support of all sales and marketing efforts.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nConsult with sales team on the layout, design and space planning of furniture specifications for client offices. Travel to client’s location to field measure layout.\nPerform programming, space planning, furniture selection, layout, product pricing, design and selection of fabrics and finishes, including as-built drawings, block plans, space plans and finished working drawings for specification and installation.\nMaterial & Color Selections- Furniture: Research, Selection & Specifications.\nAccurately create quotes for client’s approval.\nProvides professional customer interface by attending client planning meetings to determine furniture needs and develops solutions to meet these needs.\nOffers technical design and creative consultation to customers by answering both routine and highly specialized questions regarding furniture.\nCoordinate, develop, and review proposed project designs and construction plans. Prepare presentation material including digital color finish.\nReview job site in order to perform accurate measurements. Will do plan-to-site adherence checks.\nValidate plans against construction, electrical engineering and Architect & Design (A&D) drawing sets.\nDevelop project specifications, double check specifications against plans, verify specifications against plans, assure specifications are ready for order entry (CET/SIF file), and manage changes and revisions.\nPrepare installation drawings for field personnel. Coordinate electrical locations.\nProvide on-site job inspections comparing construction drawings to final build-out.\nWork with installers to ensure installation meets customer specifications; complete punchlists.\nJob Skills Required:\nThree to five years’ experience with furniture product knowledge, furniture design and furniture specification software - knowledge of Configura CET highly preferred.\nThree to five years furniture dealership experience required\nComputer literate (AutoCAD, Revit, Configura CET, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Bluebeam, Photoshop and SketchUp). Configura CET experience highly preferred.\nKnowledge and experience in designing and specifying demountable architectural wall products and modular casework highly preferred.\nKnowledge in space planning, typical development and input of systems furniture, demountable architectural walls and modular casegood layouts into AutoCAD, Revit, and Configura CET.\nWorking knowledge of applicable building codes, ADA regulations.\nEnergetics and strong customer service skills with a desire to go above & beyond to assist others. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.\nDetail oriented, organized and ability to work with mathematical concepts. \nAbility to multi-task, prioritize & initiate action in a timely manner. \nAbility to demonstrate initiative and to work with minimum supervision.\nAbility to travel as needed\nQualifications:\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Interior Design degree from an accredited university preferred. Knowledge of systems furniture and experience in customer interaction.\nLanguage Ability:\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.\nMath Ability:\nAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.\nReasoning Ability:\nAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
