The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with architectural, preconstruction, and project teams to support successful project execution.\nResponsibilities\nDevelop and implement effective procurement strategies for electrical materials and services in coordination with internal\nIdentify and pursue new procurement and revenue opportunities to support company\nEvaluate and mitigate risks by partnering with reliable, high-quality vendors and\nOversee daily operations of the electrical procurement team, ensuring efficiency and\nReview and validate electrical contractors’ bills of materials and labor bids for completeness and\nAnalyze and compare vendor quotes to ensure cost-effective purchasing\nPerform material takeoffs, cost estimates, and pricing for current and upcoming\nCollect, review, and submit product submittals in accordance with project\nPrepare detailed product lists and quantities for purchase orders and change\nNegotiate terms, track orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials as per project\nApprove and monitor invoices to ensure alignment with procurement\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with key external partners to support the delivery of Freedom Source materials\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field; Electrical Engineering degree strongly\n5-7 years of experience with an electrical contractor or general contractor, ideally in a procurement or project management role.\nDemonstrated expertise in electrical procurement or a closely related discipline within the construction industry.\nStrong skills in negotiation, data analysis, and organizational\nProven ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with a collaborative and team-oriented\nFamiliarity with construction project workflows and procurement software is highly\nAdaptable and responsive to changes in industry trends, market conditions, and project\nSelf-motivated with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\nCandidate must possess Suffolk’s Core Values: Passion, Integrity, Hard Work, Professionalism and Caring\nWorking Conditions\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.
