For more information, click here.\nThe Role\nThe primary responsibility of the Preconstruction Manager is to intake and steer construction opportunities through the RFP stage of estimating and preconstruction, all the way through a successful buyout and purchasing phase, before turning the project over to Operations. The Preconstruction Manager will coordinate heavily with Corporate Operational leadership and resources, as well as the Estimating team for the purpose of submitting comprehensive proposals during the project pursuit and pre-construction phases. The successful candidate will be able to identify, coordinate, and communicate proposal development between all internal and external stakeholders.\nResponsibilities\nCoordinate all project pursuit and pre-construction deliverables from commencement of project pursuit with Corporate, Operational leadership and Estimating\nReview project documentation for quality, content, and constructability\nIdentify all required deliverables for the project pursuit / pre-construction effort, and make assignments to the appropriate internal/external stakeholder\nManage the project pursuit / pre-construction effort timeline, setting deadlines as required to ensure an on time and quality deliverable to the client\nCoordinate with corporate marketing to develop proposal documents as required\nActively manage the client during the project pursuit / pre-construction effort and maintain a strong relationship throughout to help ensure success\nAssure potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with management\nCoordinate constructability resolutions and request pricing of alternative design concepts\nEnsure preliminary construction schedules are developed in accordance with estimates\nReview cost models during the pre-construction and bidding period\nAssist with contract documents\nConsult with Operation leadership, scheduling, estimating, legal, cost control, and procurement activities\nMonitor design progress for compliance with defined cost, schedule, and quality criteria for the purpose of revising proposals and coordinating resolution of constructability issues during design\nQualifications\nDegree in Construction, Engineering, or related field desired\nMinimum 5 years of experience in Construction\nPreferred multidisciplinary experience in several (but not all) of the following areas: Preconstruction, Estimating, and Operations\nEstimating and scheduling experience desired\nExperience using computer-based estimating systems desired\nStrong written and verbal communication skills required\nAdept at problem-solving in a manner that avoids conflicts between parties\nRepresent the company in a positive manner\nCoordinate the responsibilities of others in the preparation of estimates and budgets\nUnderstand client-specific standards\nWorking Conditions\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.
