For more information, click here.\nThe Role\nThe Digital Engineering Group promotes a holistic approach to design and construction model-based services and technologies. The group defines the company strategy around the use of BIMs, data integration across models and departments, and cultural change across project teams to realize significant risk reduction on construction cost and schedule.\nLeveraging the design, engineering, and construction knowledge of Suffolk and Suffolk Design, the Digital Engineering Team is charged with executing Virtual Design & Construction, Plan + Control, and creating innovative solutions in tech and process to ensure Suffolk is the best contractor in every region it operates.\nThis position supports Digital Engineering, Virtual Design & Construction, and Plan + Control for Suffolk’s Mission Critical business. Executing these services on one or more Suffolk projects is the prime responsibility of this role.\nResponsibilities\nSupport the successful delivery of Digital Engineering, Virtual Design & Construction, and Plan + Control for Suffolk’s Mission Critical business.\nDevelop 3D, 4D, and 5D models for site safety & logistics plans and trade coordination.\nCreate clash reports for coordination meetings. Run trade coordination meetings; capture meeting minutes, issues, and RFIs and work to resolve issues in a timely manner.\nPerform design model quality control reviews and create reports.\nSupport Plan + Control management and delivery, ensuring successful project team experiences with all approved 3rd party vendors.\nSupport vendor management and billing.\nCollect, track, and report on KPI data.\nManage scopes of work, schedules, and budgets for Digital Engineering services on projects.\nProvide training and support of software and tools to project teams.\nProactively develop and maintain relationships with new and existing project teams.\nQualifications\n4-year degree in an accredited industry related curriculum.\n1-5 years of VDC related design and/or construction experience.\nAbility to read and understand contract documents and drawings, to navigate 3d models, and to identify different building systems.\nCompetency with the following applications: Procore, Autodesk Suite, Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam at a minimum.\nNecessary Attributes:\nMaintains high service levels even when working under pressure.\nExcellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.\nResourceful with strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to work independently as well as a collaborative partner on a team.\nHighly organized and detail oriented; able to prioritize and multi-task.\nMonitors delivery; identifying, managing, or escalating potential risks.\nMaintains responsibility for day-to-day interaction and relationships with all project stakeholders.\nWorking Conditions\nWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for long periods of time; talk or hear; perform fine motor, hand and finger skills in the use of a keyboard, telephone, or writing.
