Experience supporting defense-sector clients and coordinating work tied to CMMC requirements is required.\nThe ideal candidate thrives in a structured, process-driven environment and understands the importance of accurate documentation, clear ownership, and timely execution in security and compliance projects. This position serves as a key liaison among the Project Manager, technical resources, compliance stakeholders, and service delivery teams to ensure work is properly assigned, scheduled, tracked, and completed on time.\nThe Project Coordinator reports directly to the Project Manager and provides project administration, resource coordination, and operational support across the project portfolio.\nKey Responsibilities\nCoordinate and schedule work assignments across multiple active projects.\nAssign project tickets and tasks to appropriate resources based on workload, availability, skills, and project priorities.\nMonitor task progress and proactively follow up on open, overdue, or at-risk work items.\nReview, update, and maintain accurate ticket statuses and project records to support reporting and visibility.\nAssist the Project Manager with maintaining project schedules, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.\nCoordinate resource schedules and help balance workloads across project teams.\nIdentify and escalate scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, project risks, and delivery concerns.\nCoordinate CMMC readiness and remediation activities, tracking assignments, dependencies, milestones, and outstanding deliverables.\nMaintain visibility into documentation and evidence collection tasks, following up with assigned owners to ensure completion.\nFacilitate communication among the Project Manager, engineers, compliance stakeholders, service delivery teams, and client contacts.\nCoordinate with external assessment resources as directed by the Project Manager.\nAssist with project kickoff preparation, status meetings, follow-up activities, and ongoing project administration.\nMaintain project documentation, schedules, reports, meeting notes, action items, and supporting records.\nFollow established requirements for handling sensitive client information and project documentation.\nHelp ensure project workflows, standards, and operational processes are consistently followed.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives related to project delivery, resource management, scheduling, and operational efficiency.\nAssist the Project Manager with additional responsibilities and special projects as needed.\nRequired Qualifications\nTwo or more years of experience as a Project Coordinator, Project Scheduler, Resource Coordinator, Dispatch Coordinator, or in a similar operational role.\nExperience working for or supporting an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP), technology services organization, or professional services organization.\nTwo or more years of experience supporting or coordinating cybersecurity projects.\nExperience supporting defense contractors or organizations within the Defense Industrial Base (DIB).\nWorking knowledge of CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and experience coordinating CMMC readiness, remediation, or assessment preparation activities.\nFamiliarity with NIST SP 800-171 and the handling requirements associated with Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI).\nStrong understanding of project scheduling, task management, resource coordination, and ticket-based workflows.\nExperience coordinating multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities.\nExcellent organizational, time management, follow-through, and communication skills.\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to process consistency.\nProficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, Outlook, Excel, and SharePoint.\nAbility to work independently in a fully remote environment while collaborating effectively with distributed teams.\nNice to Have\nCAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) certification.\nExperience with ConnectWise Manage or ConnectWise PSA.\nExperience with Moovila.\nExperience with Pylon.\nExperience with Linear.\nExperience with other Professional Services Automation (PSA), project delivery, scheduling, or resource planning tools.\nSuccess Factors\nEnsure project work is assigned and scheduled accurately and efficiently.\nMaintain visibility into project status, resource assignments, dependencies, and task completion.\nHelp reduce project delays caused by scheduling conflicts, incomplete updates, or unclear task ownership.\nKeep CMMC readiness, remediation, documentation, and evidence collection activities organized and progressing against established timelines.\nProvide timely and effective support to the Project Manager and project delivery teams.\nMaintain accurate, complete, and appropriately handled project records.\nBuild strong working relationships across project management, engineering, compliance, and service delivery teams.\nPromote consistency, follow-through, and accountability throughout the project execution process.\nAbout the Role\nThis position is ideal for someone who enjoys detailed coordination and operational execution within an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) organization supporting defense-sector clients.
