The professional acts as the Manager for the accounting staff in the country while being responsible for making sure that processes remain aligned, global process standards are “anchored”, any escalations are resolved and mitigation procedures are defined and implemented. Key processes in scope for the Country Accounting Manager are PTP, OTC and RTR.Key Responsibilities\nClosely collaborate with the Country Head of Accounting to lead and manage the Accounting team, ensuring high performance, development and team cohesion\nOversee the Accounting processes for the Australia, ensuring timely and accurate processing, including the month end reporting & reconciliation including IS, BS and intercompany transactions and re-charges\nManage internal and external audits, including liaison with auditors and assurance signoff to auditors and ensure the completion of audits with minimal adjustments\nEnsure on-time filing of statutory financial statements and tax submissions with the support of and coordination with Group Tax and in compliance with local statutory and Group Tax requirements\nClosely collaborate with CoE Accounting team regarding payables management and strategy; approve payments\nMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of the Accounting processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives jointly with the GPOs to enhance accounting processes, increase efficiency and reduce costs\nCollaborate with various internal and external stakeholders including sales, Operations, BPO provider (DXC) and other departments to streamline Accounting processes, resolve any issues that may arise, and optimize end-to-end processes in Accounting\nProvide accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management and stakeholders\nEnsure all financial reporting and processes comply with local abd International Financial Reporting Standards\nLiaise with auditors and ensure the completion of audits with minimal adjustments\nEnsure financial and relevant operational internal controls are in place and followed for the processes performed by this role, including appropriate segregation of duties (SOD)\nRequirements\nTertiary Qualifications in Finance/Accounting\nCertified Practising Accountant (CPA)\nAt least 5 years of experience leading Accounting teams\nExperience within the manufacturing or industrial sectors is preferred\nProficiency in coordination and planning of work for assigned Accounting teams\nStrong understanding of OTC and PTP processes, as well as general accounting principles and financial reporting; expertise in RTR is a plus\nStrong communication skills for delivering key insights to senior leadership\nExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills\nWhat we offer you\nAnnual Bonus Scheme\nLong-term career development opportunities\nCompany-provided phone, laptop, and corporate credit card\nSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
