About the role
Job SummaryThe Sr. Application Engineering Lead is responsible for providing technical advice and support to sales teams, conducting technical analysis of product configurations, and ensuring customer-specific solutions meet technical and commercial requirements. This role includes preparing and delivering technical briefings, estimating costs and resources, and supporting implementation.
This job profile is intended for experienced professionals who apply practical knowledge of a job area and work independently with general supervision.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare technical and commercial quotations; attend technical presentation and clarification meeting; technical appendix negotiation; attend commercial bidding and order negotiation, contract preparation / negotiation and risk control
2. Monitor / update project status in system regularly
3. Market Analysis and business promotion when needed
4. Internal handover meeting preparation
5. Assistant to attend column start up, plant test run and trouble shooting
6. Follow ISO procedure and Office 5s maintenance
7. Other tasks assigned by APT Manager/Team leader
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum 1-3 years’ work experience as chemical engineer / plant engineer / process engineer in refinery, coal chemicals, environmental, petrochemicals, fine & specialty chemicals plant, with plant operation and DCS control practices will be more appreciated, or 1-3 years’ work experience as process engineer in engineering company in above mentioned market
2. Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Master's degree is preferred
3. Fluent in both oral & written English and Mandarin
4. Fluent use MS office such as WORD /EXECL /PowerPoint
5. Fluent use simulation software such as Pro-II or Aspen would be additional benefit
6. Customer oriented, Teamwork in mind, Strong committed to achieve results
7. Positive attitude, Open-minded, Good communication skills
8. Ready to work under pressure. Available for frequent traveling
9. Awareness to work in an international environment
