This role ensures that assembled items meet quality standards and supports the production line by maintaining efficiency and accuracy. Smaller/easier decisions are made autonomously. Under close supervision performs a variety of assembly operations associated with the manufacturing of JWC Environmental family of products and equipment. Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, operational testing, repairs, in-depth troubleshooting and diagnosing.\nPosition Summary:\nThe Assembler is responsible for putting together component parts or products according to blueprints or schematics. Assembly process may include fitting, mounting, alignment, adjusting, operational testing, repairs, in-depth troubleshooting and diagnosing.\nPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities:\nUses small hand and power tools to assemble equipment.\nPerforms tests and aligns equipment to provide a high quality finished product.\nBuilds seal assemblies and spare part assemblies following sales and production order requirements.\nConveys material pick list discrepancies to the attention of supervisor.\nReads and interprets blue prints, sketches and written instructions to assemble parts or equipment.\nLooks for faulty components during assembly process and tests assembled parts or products to ensure functionality.\nComplies with policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.\nMaintains a clean and organized work area to facilitate assembly functions.\nPerform other duties and special projects as assigned.\nExperience, Education & Skills:\nRequired: High School Diploma or equivalent.\nPreferred:\n1-2 years’ experience assembling products or using mechanical skills\nAbility to use small tools, power tools, air tools, hoists forklifts, hydraulic press, and medium voltage (up to 575 vac)\nAble to lift 50 pounds unassisted\nAble to drive a forklift and use electrical hoisting equipment\nAbility to follow written and verbal instructions\nAbility to read and interpret assembly diagrams, production and sales orders\nFamiliarity with Company equipment\nHighly self-motivated.\nFlexible, reliable, strong work ethic, dependable team player, positive, constructive attitude.\nAttention to detail.\nWhat we offer you\n$20.00 - $24.00\nWhat We Offer You\n15 days of paid time off and 12 company-paid holidays\n401k plan with a 6% match\nComprehensive health plan including medical, dental, vision, Life, short-term & long-term disability\nHealth savings account matching\nMotivating wellness program\nEmployee Assistance Program\nPaid parental leave\nGym reimbursement\nSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
