Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.\nAbout the role\nThe Head, QESH Americas is responsible for leading Quality, Environment, Safety, and Health (QESH) activities across the Americas region, ensuring compliance with Sulzer standards, customer requirements, regulatory obligations, and applicable management system certifications. The role provides strategic and functional leadership to manufacturing sites, service operations, project execution activities, and office locations while driving a culture of safety, quality excellence, environmental stewardship, risk management, and continuous improvement.Essential Functions\nLead the QESH strategy, objectives, and performance management processes across MTCS Americas.\nDevelop and promote a culture where safety is the highest operational priority and quality is embedded in all activities.\nEnsure compliance with applicable regulations, corporate, MTCS and ChemTech policies, and customer requirements across all Americas locations.\nMaintain and continuously improve integrated management systems including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.\nLead internal audit programs, management reviews, and external certification audits.\nOversee incident investigations, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and preventive actions.\nDevelop and maintain safety, quality, environmental, and compliance training programs.\nSupport manufacturing, service operations, and project teams in identifying and mitigating operational risks.\nEstablish and monitor regional QESH KPIs, dashboards, and management review processes.\nProduce monthly ESH MIS and QESH reports as necessary.\nLead environmental compliance activities, sustainability initiatives, and reporting requirements.\nSupport field service safety programs, contractor management processes, and customer site compliance requirements.\nEnsure TFS operations are compliant with Sulzer, ChemTech and MTCS ESH requirements.\nPartner with Operations, Service Operations, APT, Sales, and HR to drive operational excellence.\nLead the regional NCR, CAPA, and Lessons Learned processes across manufacturing, service, and project execution activities.\nEstablish and maintain a structured Lessons Learned program for Quality, Environment, Safety, and Health events, audit findings, customer complaints, and project execution issues.\nEnsure lessons learned are communicated, tracked, and incorporated into standards, procedures, training, and best practices across MTCS Americas.\nQualifications\nBachelor degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Sciences, Industrial Management, Quality Management, or related discipline required.\n10+ years of progressive experience in Quality, Safety, Environmental, Health, or Operational Excellence leadership roles.\nMinimum 5 years leading multi-site QESH organizations.\nExperience supporting manufacturing, field service, and industrial operations environments.\nStrong knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OSHA requirements, incident investigations, and continuous improvement methodologies.\nSuccess Measures\nMajor Accident Frequency Rate, Accident Severity Rate and Toal Accident Rate performance is below corporate targets\nLeading Indicator Reporting: Including Near Miss reporting, Safety Observations, Safety Walks and Safety Walks With Management are above target.\nAudit performance and compliance\nCorrective action closure effectiveness\nCost of Poor Quality (COPQ)\nCustomer quality complaints\nISO certification compliance\nEnvironmental compliance performance.
