From this facility, we engineer and manufacture some of the largest and most complex pump packages in the world, supporting critical infrastructure projects across the energy, water, industrial and renewable sectors worldwide.Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement function and continue driving world-class supply chain performance. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected engineering business and play a key role in delivering complex, high-value projects to customers across the globe.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, coach and develop a team of 5 direct reports, creating a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.\nDevelop and execute procurement strategies aligned to business objectives.\nManage supplier selection, negotiation and contract management activities.\nBuild strong relationships with strategic suppliers, ensuring performance against quality, cost and delivery targets.\nDrive cost reduction initiatives and identify opportunities for value engineering and supply chain optimisation.\nSupport complex project procurement activities for large engineered-to-order pump packages.\nMonitor supplier performance through robust KPI management and supplier development programmes.\nCollaborate with global procurement teams to leverage group purchasing power and best practice.\nEnsure compliance with company policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.\nIdentify and mitigate supply chain risks whilst maintaining continuity of supply.\nWhat We're Looking For\nProven procurement leadership experience within a manufacturing, engineering, industrial or project-based environment.\nExperience managing and developing procurement or purchasing teams.\nStrong supplier negotiation, contract management and commercial skills.\nExperience procuring technical engineered components, fabricated assemblies, castings, machined parts or related manufacturing commodities.\nStrong understanding of MRP/ERP systems and procurement processes.\nAbility to influence stakeholders across multiple functions and levels of the organisation.\nExcellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving capabilities.\nCIPS qualification, or working towards, would be advantageous.\nWhat we offer you\nWe’ve recently invested significantly in modernising our Leeds facility - creating a brighter, more efficient, and more advanced workspace designed to support high-quality work and a great employee experience.
