About the role

At Sulzer, innovation and excellence are at the heart of everything we do. Our Leeds site is an Advanced Pump Design and Manufacturing Facility and a recognised centre of excellence within our global network. From this facility, we engineer and manufacture some of the largest and most complex pump packages in the world, supporting critical infrastructure projects across the energy, water, industrial and renewable sectors worldwide.

Due to recently secured major orders and continued growth, we are looking for a Production Controller to join our Operations team and play a critical role in ensuring the successful planning, scheduling and delivery of customer projects.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Release and manage production orders in line with manufacturing capacity and project priorities.

  • Ensure all manufacturing activities are fully prepared before work commences.
  • Verify availability of engineering drawings, manufacturing documentation, tooling, fixtures, materials and production kits.
  • Expedite material shortages, stock transfers, outsourced operations and transport requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity and accuracy of SAP production and inventory data.
  • Manage production orders, non-material orders and associated transactions.
  • Resolve goods movement exceptions, including COGI and ZMIGO-ERROR transactions.
  • Support accurate WIP management, stock issuing and production order closure activities.
  • Ensure system data supports reliable reporting, inventory control and financial accuracy.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in Production Control, Production Planning, Manufacturing Scheduling or a similar operational role.
  • Strong experience working within a manufacturing, engineering or project-driven production environment.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, including production order and inventory management processes.
  • Excellent organisational, coordination and prioritisation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and collaborate across multiple functions.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
