Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.\nAbout the role\nSulzer is looking for a Project Engineer to join our team and support the successful delivery of rotating equipment and gas turbine service projects.In this role, you will be responsible for managing repair and overhaul projects for rotating equipment and gas turbines, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget. You will work closely with customers, suppliers and internal teams to coordinate project activities, monitor progress and provide technical and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle.\nThe Project Engineer will be based in our Kizad Facility in Abu Dhabi.\nAct as the sole responsible person for all customer communication and commercials post-handover, and in the event of a contract being a long-term agreement, for its duration.\nEnsure commercial coverage (Purchase order/contract) is in place for ongoing works, and work to realize additional works where possible.\nLiaise with the customer and commercial/sales teams to ensure deliverables are clearly identified and understood.\nDevelop, update, and monitor project plans to ensure smooth workflow through the workshop.\nCompile quotations for customers under contract for minor repairs and overhauls, in collaboration with the commercial and sales teams.\nCompile quotations for additional works identified through inspection.\nCompile comprehensive progress and technical reports.\nEnsure ERP system is kept up to date with all project information.\nTranslation of contractual requirements into technical instructions.\nMonitoring and agreeing scope changes with the customer.\nFacilitation of proactive and reactive technical support.\nMonitor project costs and report expected cost overruns in a timely manner.\nProvide finance with instruction to invoice on completion of works.\nConduct customer site visits.\nConduct scheduled reviews with customers of contract KPI’s.\nHosting customers and the provision of corporate entertainment. \nSupport the development of Company standard documentation.\nLead and perform customer complaint NCR’s, including RCA’s and implementation of resulting preventative actions.\nCompetencies Required\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills in English.\nStrong organisational and planning skills.\nAbility to prioritise workloads and manage competing deadlines.\nWorking knowledge of industrial gas turbines, power turbines and associated equipment.\nAdaptable and capable of working independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.\nStrong team player with the ability to collaborate across multiple departments and with external stakeholders.\nWillingness and ability to work away from home when required while maintaining effective communication with Head Office.\nMinimum of 5 years' experience within the rotating equipment MRO industry.\nEducation (Desirable)\nBachelor's degree in Engineering or completion of a recognised technical apprenticeship.\nFormal Project Management certification (PMP, APM or equivalent).\n Knowledge & Technical Requirements\nTechnical knowledge of Rolls-Royce gas turbine equipment within the company's core service offering.\nPractical experience working within gas turbine site environments, both onshore and offshore.\nAbility to interpret and understand engineering drawings and technical documentation.\nWhat we offer you\nAs per local requirements\nSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
