Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.\nAbout the role\nSulzer is looking for a skilled Pump Service Engineer to join our Birmingham Service Centre, supporting the overhaul, repair and testing of critical pumping equipment for customers across the water, energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors.This is primarily a workshop-based role, working within our state-of-the-art facility alongside experienced engineers and technicians. However, flexibility is essential, as you'll also support customers on-site with inspections, fault finding, maintenance and emergency breakdown activities when required.\nWhat You'll Be Doing\nDismantling, inspecting, repairing and overhauling a wide range of centrifugal pumps (high and low pressure), blowers, vacuum pumps, submersible pumps and self-priming pumps, as well as other rotating equipment.\n\nDiagnosing faults and recommending effective repair and refurbishment solutions.\n\nRepairing and servicing associated mechanical equipment including valves, gearboxes, fans and compressors.\n\nConducting performance testing, alignment checks and quality inspections to ensure equipment meets operational standards.\n\nProducing accurate service reports, inspection findings and technical documentation.\n\nSupporting site activities including maintenance, installation, commissioning and breakdown response.\n\nWorking safely and professionally at customer locations across the UK when required.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nExperience servicing, repairing or overhauling pumps and rotating equipment\n\nStrong mechanical engineering and fault-finding skills\n\nAbility to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation\n\nA flexible approach, with willingness to undertake site work and travel when required\n\nCommitment to quality, safety and customer service\n\nWhy Join Sulzer?\nBased at our Birmingham Service Centre, you'll work from one of the most advanced facilities of its kind in the UK.
