Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.\nAbout the role\nThe Service Cost Tracker is responsible for providing financial and operational oversight across the service project portfolio throughout the entire project lifecycle. The role partners closely with Service Project Managers and Service Operations Leadership to ensure accurate cost tracking, forecasting, margin management, billing readiness, cash flow visibility, and working capital optimization. You will serve as the primary project controls resource within Service Operations and acts as a business partner to Project Managers by providing transparency into project financial performance, identifying risks and opportunities, and supporting informed operational and commercial decision-making. You will play a key part in improving project profitability, forecasting accuracy, financial discipline, and overall execution performance across maintenance, turnaround, retrofit, revamp, and specialty service projects.Key Responsibilities\nProject Financial Oversight\nProvide project cost control and financial oversight from project initiation through project closeout.\nPartner with Service Project Managers to develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, Estimate at Completion (EAC), and margin projections.\nMonitor project costs, commitments, accruals, labor expenditures, subcontractor costs, travel costs, and material expenditures.\nIdentify cost overruns, productivity concerns, and financial risks.\nSupport development and implementation of recovery actions where required.\nEnsure financial visibility throughout the project lifecycle.\nForecasting & Reporting\nDevelop and maintain project financial forecasts and project performance reports.\nLead monthly project financial reviews with Service Operations leadership.\nMonitor project revenue, gross margin, backlog, cash flow, and working capital performance.\nDevelop and maintain project dashboards, KPIs, and management reporting tools.\nSupport monthly business reviews and MIS reporting processes.\nProvide leadership with early warning indicators of project performance risks.\nMargin & Profitability Management\nTrack and analyze project profitability throughout execution.\nIdentify margin improvement opportunities and emerging risks.\nSupport evaluation of change orders and commercial impacts.\nReview actual performance against estimated costs and budgets.\nParticipate in project margin reviews and profitability assessments.\nRecommend actions that improve project financial performance and operational discipline.\nBilling & Cash Flow Management\nSupport billing readiness and milestone invoicing activities.\nMonitor project cash flow and collection performance.\nTrack outstanding receivables and support collection efforts.\nPartner with Finance and Project Managers to improve working capital performance.\nEscalate collection concerns and financial risks that may impact project profitability.\nSupport project closeout and final invoicing activities.\nProject Controls & Governance\nEstablish and maintain project controls standards across Service Operations.\nDevelop project reporting methodologies, tools, and performance dashboards.\nSupport project setup and maintenance within SAP and other business systems.\nEnsure project financial information is accurate, complete, and timely.\nParticipate in project audits and financial reviews.\nStandardize project controls practices throughout the organization.\nCross-Functional Collaboration, Partner with:\nService Project Managers\nService Superintendents\nFinance\nSales\nProcurement\nQESH\nService Operations Leadership\nProvide analytical support for project and operational decision making.\nSupport project reviews, risk assessments, and performance improvement initiatives.\nEnsure alignment between operational execution and financial objectives.\nOperational Excellence\nDevelop and maintain project performance dashboards and KPI reporting systems.\nImprove forecasting accuracy and financial visibility across the service portfolio.\nStreamline reporting and project controls processes.\nSupport implementation of ERP, reporting, and business intelligence tools.\nParticipate in lessons learned reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.\nPromote financial discipline and data-driven decision making across Service Operations.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, or related discipline preferred.\nMinimum 5 years of experience in project controls, project finance, cost accounting, project management, or related disciplines.\nStrong understanding of project cost control, forecasting, budgeting, margin management, and financial analysis.\nExperience supporting industrial projects, field services, maintenance, construction, manufacturing, or turnaround environments.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills.\nStrong analytical, organizational, and communication capabilities.\nExperience working with multiple stakeholders in a project environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in refining, petrochemical, chemical, LNG, power generation, or industrial services industries.\nExperience with SAP and project accounting systems.\nExperience with Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent reporting platforms.\nFamiliarity with revenue recognition and project accounting principles.\nExperience developing project dashboards and
