In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the sales process by preparing technical and commercial proposals for configurable equipment and engineering solutions across a wide range of customer projects.As a trusted technical partner, you will work closely with sales teams, customers, product managers, and manufacturing sites to ensure accurate equipment selection, competitive pricing, and high-quality tender submissions. Your contribution will directly impact business growth, customer satisfaction, and the successful delivery of complex opportunities.\nThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, commercial awareness, and cross-functional collaboration in an international environment.\nWhat you will do:\n\nPrepare technical and commercial proposals for configurable equipment and engineering solutions across projects, tenders, and awarded contracts.\nSupport the sales process from lead generation through negotiation by providing technical expertise and commercial support.\nAnalyze customer requirements, perform equipment sizing calculations, and recommend optimal technical solutions.\nDevelop quotations and commercial offers using dedicated quotation and configuration tools.\nManage and maintain opportunities, customer accounts, and project information within Salesforce and related systems.\nCoordinate with customers, sales teams, product managers, and manufacturing sites to ensure accurate and competitive proposals.\nComplete technical documentation and customer data sheets required for tender submissions.\nSupport pricing activities, including special pricing assessments and non-standard solution proposals.\nCoordinate and monitor quotation activities for large and strategic projects.\nIdentify opportunities to improve quotation tools, processes, and operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with Product Managers to maintain and enhance technical and commercial documentation.\nProvide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including sales teams and business support functions.\nContribute to business transformation and continuous improvement initiatives, including the adoption of new tools and processes.\nBuild strong relationships with engineering companies, consultants, and other key stakeholders involved in the bidding process.\nEnsure compliance with Health & Safety, Environmental, Compliance, Equality, and Data Protection requirements.\nWhat you need to succeed:\n\nRequired:\n\nTechnical Engineering degree or higher education in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.\n2-5 years of experience in a similar tendering, application engineering, or technical sales support position within the water sector.\nKnowledge of industrial processes and applications related to Sulzer equipment and solutions.\nExperience evaluating technical requirements and configuring engineered products.\nAdvanced MS Office skills.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.\nAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary and international teams.\nEnglish language proficiency at B2 level or higher.\nSpanish and/or Portuguese language skills relevant to the markets supported.\nPreferred:\n\nKnowledge of Salesforce, SAP-CPQ, SAP environments, or other quotation and ERP systems.\nFamiliarity with tools such as Absel, Mixel, STARS, HSTProf, QM, ADP, or similar technical configuration applications.\nKnowledge of customer procurement and tendering platforms.\nExperience in process optimization and operational excellence initiatives.\nMarket knowledge of customers, competitors, and applications within the water industry.\nWhat we offer you\nA permanent contract.\nA competitive salary as well as participation in the variable remuneration system based on personal and financial objectives.\nMeal vouchers.\nAccess to a voluntary flexible compensation scheme allowing employees to optimize their salary package, such as health insurance, transport, or childcare.\nBe part of an experienced and international team.\nA good vibe working environment.\nThe opportunity to grow your career within a solid and well-established international company.\nBe part of a dynamic organization undergoing continuous transformation and improvement.\nAdditional benefits may apply depending on the position and location.\nSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
