Join our global team to grow your expertise and develop innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society.\nAbout the role\nJob SummaryResponsibility for provision of technical support to customers, sales, service centers and warranty teams, and identifying opportunities for upgrades and services predominantly in Oil & Gas, Power and Water industries.\nKey Responsibilities\nProvide technical support to customer and Front-end team:\nA Reply to technical queries\nB Attend meeting with customers for technical clarifications\nProvide technical support to service centers and field service including but not limited to:\nA Review inspection report\nB Provide recommendations for method of repair\nC Provide possible cause of failure based on observations made on components during inspection\nD Provide recommendation of upgrade based on findings\nE Provide guidance and recommendations for strip down, assembly and setting for complex equipment in liaison with Experts\nF Assist them with instructions for complex commissioning or troubleshooting\nConduct root cause failure analysis which consists of:\nA Liaise with customer to gather data required for analysis\nB Reviewing site data and reports\nC Prepare detailed root cause failure analysis report with background, result of analysis and recommendations\nConduct on-site performance assessment which consist of:\nA Take measurement on equipment at site with vibration analyzer, ultra-sonic flow meter, thermodynamic method.\nB Analyze data collected during the site assessment\nC prepare detailed report with background, result of analysis and recommendations\nLiaise with Sulzer factories and oversea engineering teams when additional information is required on equipment to reply to customer queries, support service center or conduct root cause failure analysis\nLiaise with Sales, Tendering and Engineering for the development of repair and retrofit proposals that meet customer requirements and can be successfully executed.\nConduct detail engineering required for modification and upgrade of equipment in the service center, by overseeing and arranging drawings, Bill Of Material, specifications.\nConduct or supervise reverse engineering of components in the service center or at customer site with conventional measuring tools and 3D scan.\nParticipate in and actively support company initiatives that support growth.\nProvide technical support to Warranty teams for issues encountered during installation, commissioning, operation and repair of rotating equipment.\nSupport warranty claim investigations, including troubleshooting, root cause failure analysis and preparation of technical reports with recommendations.\nQualifications / Requirements\nBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.\n10+ years of experience in the rotating equipment industry.\nExperience in centrifugal pumps and turbomachinery for Water, Power, and Oil & Gas industries.\nKnowledge of industry processes, practices, and standards.\nProficiency in rotating equipment design and selection software.\nDesign, drafting, and CAD (2D/3D) skills.\nStrong computer skills.\nFluent in English (written and spoken).\n Estimated Travel Time: 30% to 40% (national and international)\nAbility to travel and visit customer sites frequently with assignment period from 1 day to 2 weeks.\nCommunication & influencing\nCustomer relationship management\nTime management\nAdaptability & initiative\nAttention to detail\nTechnical & commercial acumen\nProject management\nWhat we offer you\nAs per local requirements\nSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
