You will be the central pivot point for the bidding process, balancing technical accuracy with commercial strategy while facilitating complex global communication between regional and international stakeholders. This role requires a candidate capable of driving strategic business decisions while mentoring junior staff and managing day-to-day technical tenders.\nKey Responsibilities\nPrepare quotations for major projects in close coordination with sales personnel, regional managers, distributors, representatives, and alliance managers.\n\nAssist management with major project tender signoffs as required by the company’s Delegation of Authority (DoA) framework.\n\nPropose innovative solutions to clients based on your extensive technical expertise and seniority to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.\n\nSupervise the activities of Application Engineers I and II, providing guidance to ensure team alignment, productivity, and professional growth.\n\nAct as the critical bridge between Sales, internal operations, project management, and factories located outside the PU NAM region.\n\nActively support the achievement of regional sales plan objectives through technical proposal excellence.\n\nAnalyze customer specifications, define scope, evaluate \"buy-out\" components (e.g., seals, couplings, actuators), and manage post-submission technical/commercial clarifications.\n\nMaintain and supervise data accuracy in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce/RFT) to ensure reliable sales forecasts and workload reporting.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree (Licenciatura) in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or related Engineering.\n\nExperience: * Mandatory: Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Application Specialist specifically within the pump industry.\n\nDesirable: 2 years of experience in group supervision or leadership activities.\n\nLanguage Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and writing) is required.\n\nTechnical Competencies (Advanced Level Required): * Expertise in hydraulics, centrifugal pumps, and their accessories\n\nSoftware Proficiency: * Advanced: Microsoft Office, pump selection and costing software, and CRM (SalesForce or similar).\n\nBasic: SAP.\n\nWhat we offer you\nBenefits Over law\nSaving found\nTraining\nChristmas bonus over law\nDevelopment plan\nSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
