This role supports the manufacturing process by identifying defects, maintaining equipment, and following production protocols.\nThis job profile is intended for support staff that follows established procedures and works under close supervision. We offer competitive workshop pay, excellent workplace culture, career progression, and long-term job security.\nIn this position, you will play a pivotal role in our Wheel Motor Exchange Program.\nYour main tasks and responsibilities:\nOverhaul and maintain electric mining haul truck wheel motors and associated equipment.\nDisassemble, inspect, and repair large mechanical assemblies with precision.\nComplete job reports and requisition parts to keep projects on track.\nReplace or repair worn components such as shafts, gears, seals, and bearing fits.\nClean and prepare mechanical equipment using specialized methods and tools.\nAdhere to QESH standards and promote a safe, clean work environment.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives.\nTo succeed in this role, you will need:\nTrade Certificate III Mechanical Fitter/Fitter & Turner/Diesel Mechanic (or equivalent)\nExperience in Mechanical fitting large equipment i.e., Wheel units, gearboxes etc\nStrong focus on safety and excellent time management skills.\nStrong communication skills and a collaborative team mindset.\nCurrent Driver's License (Forklift license and Dogging ticket are a bonus).\nWhat we offer you\nCompetitive hourly rate and annual wage reviews.\nOpportunities for overtime to boost your earnings.\nEmployee Assistance Program for your wellbeing.\nOn-site parking for convenience.\nBe part of a global organisation that values innovation, excellence, and its people.\nSulzer is an equal opportunity employer.
