This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or nearly qualified accountant looking to develop their career within a forward-thinking firm that offers genuine progression opportunities.\nYou will work with a diverse portfolio of owner-managed businesses, SMEs, charities, and corporate clients across a range of sectors, taking responsibility for both audit assignments and accounts preparation while building strong client relationships.\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nPlanning, leading, and completing audit engagements for a varied client portfolio.\nPreparing statutory accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards.\nReviewing client records and identifying areas of risk and opportunity.\nSupervising, coaching, and supporting junior team members.\nBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser.\nLiaising directly with clients to resolve queries and provide practical solutions.\nAssisting managers and partners in delivering high-quality client service.\nEnsuring assignments are completed efficiently and within agreed deadlines.\nSupporting wider advisory and business development initiatives where appropriate.\nWe're looking for someone who is technically strong, commercially aware, and passionate about delivering excellent service.\n You'll ideally have:\nACA or ACCA qualification (or be in the final stages of qualification).\nPrevious experience within an accountancy practice environment.\nStrong audit and accounts preparation experience.\nKnowledge of UK GAAP and relevant auditing standards.\nExperience managing client relationships and handling multiple assignments.\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills.\nA proactive and collaborative approach to work.\nStrong organisational skills and attention to detail.\nBelong @ Sumer\nAt Sumer, we know everyone’s journey is different.
