You'll take ownership of audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients, working closely with managers and partners to deliver a high-quality service while helping to develop junior members of the team.\nThis role offers excellent exposure to a diverse client base, opportunities for progression, and the chance to make a real impact within a supportive and forward-thinking firm.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead audit assignments from planning through to completion\nManage audit fieldwork both on-site and remotely\nPrepare and review audit files in line with regulatory requirements\nIdentify risks and opportunities and provide practical recommendations\nPrepare statutory accounts and associated working papers\nBuild and maintain strong client relationships\nSupervise, coach and support trainees and junior team members\nLiaise with managers and partners on audit findings and client matters\nEnsure compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards\nContribute to the continuous improvement of audit processes and methodologies\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nACA or ACCA qualified, or nearing qualification\nPrevious experience within an external audit role in practice\nStrong technical knowledge of UK audit and accounting standards\nExperience leading audits and supervising junior team members\nExcellent communication and relationship-building skills\nStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities\nA proactive and client-focused approach\nA desire to develop your career within a growing and ambitious firm\nBelong @ Sumer\nAt Sumer, we know everyone’s journey is different.
