We’re committed to creating an environment where you can grow professionally and personally, with access to mentorship, learning opportunities, and a clear path for progression.\nWe're looking for an experienced Bookkeeper to look after a portfolio of clients, particularly within the agriculture sector.\nKey Responsibilities\nProcess accounts payable and receivable for a portfolio of clients\nComplete bank reconciliations with accuracy and efficiency\nPreparing and submitting VAT returns\nSetting up client software for clients wishing to undertake their own bookkeeping\nProviding helpful training to clients on using Xero & SAGE\n\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nProven experience handling bookkeeping services for a portfolio of clients (agriculture client experience desired but not essential)\nYou will be eager to learn as we provide on the job learning with internal training provided, although knowledge of bookkeeping software such as Xero & SAGE would be desirable\nHave good numerical skills and excellent communication skills to talk with clients over the phone, on MS Teams or over email\nBe a team player and thrive in a collaborative environment, willing to share knowledge, support colleagues and be happy to work as part of a team to meet tight deadlines\nBe comfortable with change and excited by the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment\n\nBelong @ Sumer\nAt Sumer, we know everyone’s journey is different.
