This opportunity is ideal for someone who is currently studying for their ACCA or ACA and is looking to take the next step in their accounting career within a modern, technology-focused environment.\nKey Responsibilities\nAs an Accounts Semi Senior, you'll support a portfolio of clients with bookkeeping, management accounts, VAT compliance and cloud accounting solutions. You'll work closely with managers and senior team members while developing your technical expertise and taking increasing responsibility for client relationships.\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse range of businesses while developing your accounting knowledge and digital skills.\nPreparing bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients\nProducing management accounts and supporting reporting requirements\nPreparing and reviewing VAT returns\nCompleting bank, supplier and balance sheet reconciliations\nAssisting with month-end and year-end accounting processes\nReviewing transactional data and identifying anomalies\nSupporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage\nProcessing journals, accruals and prepayments\nAssisting with the preparation of statutory accounts\nSupporting trainees and junior team members where required\nBuilding strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted point of contact\nIdentifying opportunities to improve client processes through digital solutions and automation\nSkills, Knowledge & Expertise\nWe're looking for someone who:\nIs currently studying for their ACCA or ACA\nHas experience in an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeper, Finance Assistant or similar accounting role\nHas experience preparing management accounts and VAT returns\nIs comfortable using cloud accounting software and Excel\nHas excellent attention to detail and organisational skills\nCan manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively\nHas strong communication and relationship-building skills\nIs proactive, ambitious and keen to continue developing professionally\nDemonstrates a positive and collaborative approach to work\nBelong @ Sumer\nAt Sumer, we know everyone’s journey is different.
