Construction Subcontracting Contracts\nRole Purpose\nWe are looking for an experienced Project Procurement Manager to join our EPC Team to manage the end-to end process for Engineering, Procurement & Construction Subcontracting works.\nYou’ll work closely with Engineering, Project Management and legal teams playing a central role in turning project requirements into successful procurement strategies.\nKey Accountabilities\nManage the end-to-end procurement process for EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) subcontracting works, ensuring alignment with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.\nDevelop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth contract execution and risk mitigation.\nLead tendering, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and finalisation of subcontract agreements in compliance with company policies and legal regulations.\nMonitor subcontractor performance and compliance with contractual obligations, providing timely feedback and facilitating resolution of any disputes or issues.\nProcurement of various outsourced items required for the project.\nCollaborate closely with project management, engineering, and legal teams to ensure procurement strategies effectively support project goals and mitigate risks.\nLiaise with the Procurement department in Japan and its team members on commercial matters when negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, and follow the instructions of the Head of procurement and Deputy Head of procurement.\nEnsure accurate documentation and reporting of procurement activities, including contract statuses, cost control, and procurement metrics.\nContinuously analyse market trends and subcontractor capabilities to optimise sourcing strategies and cost-efficiency.\nSupport audits and ensure adherence to corporate procurement guidelines and industry best practices.\nThe details of the job description will be discussed separately by the relevant parties, and a final decision will be made.\nEssential Knowledge/Skills/Experiences\nAt least seven years of experience in procurement for large-scale EPC projects.\nProven experience in procurement management within EPC projects, particularly handling subcontracting contracts for construction works.\nStrong knowledge of contract law, procurement regulations, and risk management related to EPC projects.\nExtensive experience with standard forms of contract, including FIDIC, NEC, BIMCO, etc.\nExcellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract awards and vendor management.\nFamiliarity with tendering processes, bid evaluation, and supplier qualification methodologies.\nSolid understanding of construction project schedules, cost control, and quality assurance.\nEffective communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder management at various organisational levels.\nProficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools.\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.\nPreferred Knowledge/Skills/Experiences\nExperience working in international/multicultural EPC environments.\nKnowledge of specific regional construction regulations and labor laws.\nCertification in procurement or contract management (e.g., CPSM, CIPS, PMP, or similar).\nAbility to analyse complex technical specifications and translate them into procurement requirements.\nExperience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies in subcontractor
