Also provides monitoring and reporting of client behaviors, crisis situations, and medical emergencies as needed as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Transports visitors or staff as needed.\nRoles and Responsibilities:\nSalary: $19 - $20/hour\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\nDrives company vehicles to transport clients for admissions, appointments, activity trips, discharges, and other special events in a punctual and timely manner. \nPicks up or transports visitors or staff as needed.\nAssures that all passengers are wearing seatbelts before the vehicle is started.\nMaintains a constant awareness and supervision of clients while transporting them. Complies with all company safety policies and practices and alleviates any safety issue by resolving or by notifying appropriate persons for assistance as necessary.\nServes as a positive role model for clients and peers providing examples of appropriate behaviors, effective communication, and conflict resolution. Encourages open, honest communication to facilitate problem solving on the unit, during transport, and when attending off unit activities.\nCharts in client records as appropriate and/or assigned.\nProvides a verbal report/briefing to the oncoming shift.\nResponds and adhere to “on call” schedule as required.\nAccurately and appropriately completes all transportation documentation.\nMaintains vehicle log(s) and reports maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.\nEnsures all company vehicles are kept clean and functional. Maintains vehicles in safe condition and keeps record of vehicle maintenance.\nResponds to units to assist in behavioral events when needed.\nResponds and reports any vehicle related incidents.\nDrives company facility vehicle to pick up supplies or equipment, as needed.\nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:\nHigh School Diploma or GED required, OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. \nOne or more years’ relevant work experience in behavioral facility preferred.\nLICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:\nValid and in good standing state driver's license required.\nCPR and de-escalation certification may be required (training available upon hire and offered by facility). \nFirst aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.\nWORK LOCATION:\nThis position is onsite at the facility and is not a remote position.\nSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS:\nThis position is an Individual Contributor.\nWhy Safe Harbor Recovery Center?Safe Harbor Recovery Center offers a comprehensive benefit plan and a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
